Friends and family will farewell Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt today in Sydney, nearly two weeks after a memorial service was held for her parents and sister.
St George Hospital has confirmed that the 29-year-old actress passed away on Wednesday morning, weeks after the horror Boxing Day car crash, which also took the lives of Jessica’s mother, father and sister.
“On behalf of the family of Jessica Falkholt, St George Hospital has been asked to advise the media and the community of Jessica’s passing today at 10.20am,” a hospital spokesman said, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
“Jessica passed away from serious injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on 26 December, 2017.
“The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time.”
Jessica’s funeral will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Concord at 12pm today, followed by a private family interment.
The family has asked for donations to be made to Australian Cancer Research in lieu of flowers, 7 News reports.
