There’s no better time than International Women’s Day for our favourite kickass superhero, Jessica Jones, to return to our screens.
Judging by the season two trailer that just dropped, she’s still day drinking, still fighting the demons from her past and still mad as hell.
According to Netflix, here’s what will go down this season: “New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after taking down her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.”
It also boasts one of our favourite lines so far about exactly how Jessica Jones operates. “I always deal with threats head-on,” the PI says in the trailer, “meaning I punch them in the head until they’re unconscious.”
The new season will see Australian star Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss and Eka Darville return, plus cast newcomers Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez.
So grab your whisky and get ready for the return of Jessica Jones on Netflix on March 8.
