You can be forgiven for not realising Taylor Swift and boyfriend Joe Alwyn have been dating for almost two years. The private couple don’t post about each other on social media – nor do they discuss their relationship in interviews and they have never walked the red carpet as an item.
Which explains why Joe’s recent comments about Taylor during an interview with Vogue U.K. are causing a furry of excitement amongst fans. “I’m aware people want to know about that side of things,” Alwyn, 27, told the outlet. The actor continued, “I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people… but I really prefer to talk about work.” Technically soeaking, this is the first time he has confirmed his relationship with the Delicate singer.
Taylor went to great efforts to keep her relationship with the British hearthrob away from the spotlight – especially during their courtship in early 2017. According to E! News an inseider revealed, “If she was seen in England, she made sure everyone thought it was a work trip.”
“Taylor and Joe have really tried to be on lockdown and have spent most of their time together in private locations where they could get to know each other without the pressure of a public relationship and people making judgement calls.”
Most recently, Taylor was photogrpahed taking a well deserved break from her Reputation world tour, the 28-year-old was spotted frolicking with Alwyn in Turks and Caicos.
“She seems to be in a great place both career and love wise,” a source recently told People. “Joe is just an amazing boyfriend. He is very supportive. Taylor adores his family. She’s in a very good place.”
