Jules Robinson Shares Her Six Tips For Getting Spring Racing Ready

We asked the entrepreneur and Revlon partner for her spring racing makeup tips.

Jules Robinson is a fixture at the spring racing carnival, here’s how she stays smiling by the end of the day.

Add a pop of colour with a bright red lip

As our fashion gets brighter and more colourful, I love the added pop of colour from makeup to complement an outfit. My ultimate beauty look for spring is an effortless luminous glow with bright bold lips. I’m a huge fan of Revlon’s Super Lustrous matte lipstick On Fire. It always makes me feel energised.

Make reapplying one less stress and seek longevity

If I’m wearing a bold colour, I’ll use a ColorStay lip liner that matches the lipstick to prevent colour bleeding into the skin through the day or night. I like to apply, blot then reapply to set the base and keep the depth. I find though that Revlon’s Super Lustrous matte lipstick stays on really well, so I don’t need to apply very often.

Polish up from your head to your toes

Find a fast-drying nail polish. They’re great in a hurry, as one coat and you’re off. My favourite colour is a tie between OPI’s Sweet Heart and Revlon’s Ultra HD Snap in She’s On Fire. It’s the fastest drying polish.

Sealed with a scent  perfect for spring

Change your perfume in spring for fruity, light florals. I love Dior’s J’adore Infinissime for the warmer months, as it’s so feminine and pretty.

a

Keep your shine at bay and create matte skin

I prefer my skin to be matte, as when it’s warm I end up dewy naturally. I like to start with a primer to help reduce the look of pores. Then I apply Revlon ColorStay foundation. I’ll use a concealer if needed but the hero to getting it to stay matte as long as possible is using the ColorStay pressed powder applied with a sponge in a light dabbing motion. It creates more longevity.

a

Glow from the inside out

I like to add Revlon SkinLights Face Glow Illuminator to my foundation to give skin that perfect dewy finish. I prefer to use it on my cheekbones to highlight, or you can use it on your body and your décolletage for an instant inner glow.
