Julia Roberts only joined the world of Instagram in July, but already the Pretty Woman actress has learnt how to expertly shut down trolls, something she perfectly demonstrated last night.
A vintage costume collector recently posted a side-by-side image of Roberts next to Joan Crawford with the caption, “who wore it better?”
One opinionated person commented, “Joan Crawford looks way better in my opinion. More classic and refined, and Julia is wearing ugly black nail polish!”
Roberts not only saw the negative comment about her nail polish, but responded with a burn to rival that of Chrissy Teigen: “It is in a fact a navy nail polish with garnets crystals as a grounding accent,” she wrote.
“In case you would like to edit your comment from ‘ugly black nail polish’ to ugly navy polish with garnet crystals. Just sayin 💅🏼'”
Fans quickly responded to Roberts, writing: “that’s my girl!!!” and, “This is almost the scene from Notting Hill when they talked about Anna Scott in the restaurant. When she went over to their table and gave them a piece of her mind. This is the modern-day version of that!”
