Love died last week when Jennifer Aniston and her husband of two years, Justin Theroux, announced their split. Their official statement revealed that the pair’s decision to break up was “lovingly made at the end of last year,” but now a source close to Justin has revealed that actually, he was never that into marriage anyway.

“He had reservations at the time because they still hadn’t figured out where they were going to live as a couple,” the source tells US Weekly. “Justin was absolutely head over heels in love with Jen — and probably always will be — but marriage was never important to him.”
“Marriage was always just a piece of paper to Justin, and he didn’t need it.”
The source adds that it was Aniston who pushed making their relationship official. “It was obvious Jen needed more than an engagement or to be life partners with Justin,” they say. “He didn’t want to lose her, so they got married.”
Living in separate cities (Aniston is based in LA while Theroux lives in New York) is said to have contributed to the high-profile pair drifting apart.
Predictably, fans are now calling for Aniston to get back together with also-single Brad Pitt.
