Most 16-year-olds get a driver’s license for their birthday. Kaia Gerber got a suite at the Plaza and the green light to walk the New York Fashion Week runways. Now that Gerber has reached catwalk eligibility age, the fledgeling supermodel has taken fashion month by storm, following in the footsteps of mum Cindy Crawford, friend Kendall Jenner, and “big sis” Karlie Kloss.
In the past year alone, she’s graced the cover of some of the world’s biggest magazines, as well as becoming the face of a Marc Jacobs fragrance.
The moment Gerber walked out in her very first show for Calvin Klein she became the model to see. Gerber spent the rest of New York Fashion Week walking (and opening!) for Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, and even Rihanna.
