The daughter of Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber shines bright even in the intensely lit world of LA: at only 16, she’s walked for Chanel and Versace, scored a Marc Jacobs fragrance campaign and accumulated 2.5 million Instagram followers in the process.
So it’s no surprise she’s found herself a famous boyfriend – although it has to be said, he’s not quite as famous as her. The Sun has just broken the news that Gerber is dating fellow model Fenton Merkell. While you probably don’t know his name, his mother is none other than Eastenders actress Patsy Palmer.
Palmer and her family relocated from the UK to LA in 2014, and became fast friends with Cindy Crawford. The Sun reports that Gerber and Merkell met through Crawford, with a source telling them, “Fenton and Kaia have been close pals for a while through their mums’ friendship, and in recent months it has grown into something more.”
“It’s very early days but they have grown close and seem very happy together.”
Merkell, 17, is signed with Dragonfly model management, but is yet to land a major campaign. We just hope he isn’t using Gerber to boost his star wattage.
