Breakthrough In Karen Ristevski Murder Case

New CCTV footage shows the car police suspect the mother was in

Newly released CCTV footage shows the car police suspect Karen Ristevski was transported in.

The Melbourne mum disappeared from her home close to a year ago – on June 29th 2016 – with her body found buried in the bush this February, 52km from where she was last seen alive.

Now authorities believe they’re closer than ever to finding out what happened to the 47-year-old, with CCTV footage showing a car – believed to be Karen’s black Mercedes-Benz SLK coupe – driving near her home on the day of her disappearance.

The video shows the vehicle heading northwest along Old Calder Highway in the Melbourne suburb of Diggers Rest at 11.12am on June 29, 2016.

Police suspect the car may have been driven further north to Gisborne or Mt Macedon on the same day, News.com.au reports.

The mother’s body was found in Macedon Regional Park – an hour north of Melbourne CBD – on February 20th of this year.

The last person to see Mrs. Ristevski alive was her husband, Borse Ristevski, who says his wife left the house saying “I’m going to go and clear my head,” after a fight about money.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the black vehicle on June 29th to come forward.
