Kate Middleton Has Extended Her Wardrobe Repertoire Into Leopard Print Territory

And she pulls it off seamlessly.

When one thinks of Kate Middleton, the mind directly goes to perfectly cut midis, tailored trousers and, if we’re lucky enough, a glimmering sequinned gown.

So when the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out this week in a leopard print shirt dress, courtesy of Derek Lam 10 Crosby, you couldn’t really blame us for doing a double take.

As per usual, the future queen consort of the UK looked effortless and chic in the unexpected print, with the dress’ khaki hue setting it off subtly.

She pulled the look together by adding a belt by ba&sh, gold hoop earrings from ASOS and a pair of black knee-high boots. A winter wardrobe dream, to say the least.

Of course, this isn’t the only time we’ve seen the Duchess rock the unique print. Back in January 2020, Kate stepped out in Cardiff, Wales wearing a striking leopard print midi-skirt.

The bold print was surprising enough in itself, but it was the fact the skirt was from High Street label Zara (and worth around AUD$50) that really cemented it as a style hit at the time.

The Duchess is known for mixing High Street bargains in her wardrobe repertoire—and perhaps this leopard-print moment was the inspiration behind her most recent outfit, two years later.

The Duchess’ engagement this week was to celebrate the success of the mental health text service, called Shout. Kate, along with her husband Prince William, and in-laws Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan set up the organisation back in 2017.

With more than one million conversations now held over the crisis help text service, Kate marked the milestone by visiting the organisation’s London headquarters to meet with staff and volunteers dedicated to the service.
