Every Time Kate Middleton Has Re-Worn An Outfit

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has always been quite thrifty when it comes to her wardrobe options and regularly re-wears her favourite and most loved outfits — and we love her for it.

Kate Middleton

First stepping out in this cream coloured Catherine Walker coat dress during the 2016 royal tour of Canada, the Duchess recycled the look for a pre-Trooping The Colour event in London in June of 2019.

A true testament to her timeless taste in fashion, Kate has mastered the art of outfit repeating. Whether it’s one of her many Alexander McQueen coat dresses, a custom-made Emilia Wickstead number or one of her go-to Jenny Packman evening gowns, we’ve rounded up every time the Duchess has been inspired to go shopping in her own closet, for a second, third and sometimes fourth time!

Kate-Middelton

Ever the sustainable dresser, Kate Middleton is proving her penchant for recycled clothing by rewearing this custom-made seafoam midi dress. First worn during a public appearance in 2019, Kate has one again donned the number to attend a royal garden party held at Buckingham Palace.

Whether it's playing a game of hockey on St. Andrews Day in 2012 or spending time with the family on Christmas Day, the Duchess can’t get enough of this memorable Alexander McQueen tartan dress. She recently wore it for a third time while opening the Victoria & Albert Museum in Dundee, Scotland, in January 2019.

There has been much confusion on the number of times the Duchess has donned this Alexander McQueen dress. A bit of Googling reveals that Middleton has worn the style a total of five times! First, the white version for Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015, then to the 2016 Trooping of the Colour and to an event in Belgium during the same year. The Duchess then had the dress re-made in a baby yellow with buttons on the sleeve for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. Since then, she’s had the outfit made for a third time in a light blue shade for an outing with the newlyweds in July 2018.
