The Duchess of Cambridge is lending her photography skills to another good cause this week – teaching children at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. The day prior, the royal released personal portraits she had taken of Holocaust survivors.

Kate took part in a creative workshop run by the National Portrait Gallery’s Hospital Programme, which focuses on how the arts can influence children’s well-being, health, and happiness.

The Duchess wore a textured, tweed Dolce & Gabbana jacket with matching skirt and pointed pumps. You may recognise the ensemble, with the royal mum-of-three having worn it a year prior at he Royal Foundation’s Mental Health in Education Conference. Kate wore her hair in its signature waves. 

Noticeably, Kate opted not to wear her diamond-studded engagement ring. But before you read too much into it, note that Middleton was still wearing her gold wedding band. The reason is rather simple, Hospital policy doesn’t allow for heavy jewellery. According to People, due to the need to thoroughly cleanse one’s hands before touring the facility, guests are encouraged not to wear jewelry.

Along with photography, children who receive care at Evelina London Children’s Hospital can participate in activities such as illustration and 3D set design.

Photography has long been a passion of Kate’s, who often photographs husband Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
