Kate Middleton is certainly a purveyor of understated elegance.

Her royal wardrobe is filled to the brim with classic silhouettes, neutral colour palettes and her signature statement-making dresses that leaves us begging for more from the future Queen-consort.

After her sartorial splendour at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we would’ve understood if the Duchess was to settle for something more simplistic and austere for her next public appearance.

However, in true Kate fashion, the Royal appeared at a children's charity in London in ensemble that appears to be plucked off the runway.

Taking cues from the minimalist collections of The Row, Khaite and even Australia’s own Beare Park, Kate recontextualised the office-approved blazer and suit pants combination with a refreshing take on corporate clichés.

Kate paired classic cut Roland Mouret tailored pants that look like they’re straight from Savile Row with Gianvito Rossi suede pumps and a quilted purse. Completing the look was Kate’s über-stylish lapel-less blazer.

Of course, any fashion fan will know that the lapel-less blazer has taken over from the structured single-breasted as the look du jour.
