At the time of the interview, Moss' words were (understandably) heavily criticised by those who said her statement would be damaging for young women with eating disorders and body image issues.
However, nine years down the track and 44-year-old Moss says she no longer believes in the motto.
In a rare TV interview, Kate cringed when the phrase was brought up, before saying it was a bit of a joke that her friend came up with. “My friend used to say it, because you know, we were all living together, and we’d go for the biscuits and go: ‘Oh, nothing tastes as g-. It’s a little jingle.”
Moss added that she was pleased to see more diversity in the fashion industry. "I think it’s right," she said. “There’s so many different sizes and colours and heights… So yes, for sure, it’s better.”
