Katie Holmes celebrated her 38th birthday over the weekend and the mother-of-one took to Instagram to celebrate.

Katie rarely posts snaps of her 10-year-old daughter and this is the first time the pair have been in a selfie together.
Katie has previously spoken about the importance of raising Suri, and how she looks to her own mum, Kathleen, for parenting advice.
“She’s just so kind and has such a pure heart; she really leads with those two qualities, so I try to do the same,” Holmes, 37, told PEOPLE at the Sept. 8 opening of the restaurant Avra Madison in New York City.
“She’s just so kind and very generous, so I try my best to embody that and pass that on to my own daughter,” she added.
