Keith Urban has been playing shows all over America, and so unfortunately he couldn’t be with wife Nicole Kidman this year for their 10th wedding anniversary.
They are known to be one of Hollywood’s most loved-up couples, and Keith even told PEOPLE about a month ago exactly how much Nicole means to him: “She’s my best friend. I’ve never had anybody on the planet that knows me as well as she does. I would love to have been worthy of somebody like Nic, but I was a long way from it when we met. Somehow we just found there was love there, real love. I literally just feel like the luckiest guy on the planet.”
E! Online reports that Keith Urban took a moment during his show in Boston on the weekend to Facetime Nicole and their two kids, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, for their anniversary. He explained to the audience about why they couldn’t be together that night.
“We booked the tour at the beginning of the year and June 25th was going to happen in Boston,” he said. “And so, I said to Nic, ‘I can’t work on our anniversary and so maybe we’ll play Boston another time.’ And she said, ‘What about I come up to Boston instead?’ I said, ‘That’s a great plan.'”
“She was scheduled to shoot a film in Australia and it was going to happen last month,” he continued. “So everything was winding up, it was looking really good and suddenly they said, ‘We’re actually gonna shoot the film in June in Australia,’ which threw everything out. So after the gig tonight I am flying to Australia to celebrate our anniversary.”
He also took to Instagram to express his love, posting the first photo ever taken of the couple together in 2005. He captioned it: “Our very first photo together 2005, minutes after being introduced to each other. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABY. LOOOOOOOOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxx – KU”
He posted another Instagram from his concert, as audience members had made big signs to congratulate the couple on their milestone. He wrote: “It was an extra special night because it was our 10 year anniversary and you guys made the sweetest signs down in the front. It was amazing, thank you so much!!! – KU #ripCORDWorldTour”
