The counts stem from allegations that Spacey assaulted three men. The alleged occurrences are claimed to have taken place in London in March of 2005 and August of 2008, and in Gloucestershire in April of 2013.
The BCPS has also revealed that Spacey faces one charge of “causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent”.
As per ABC News, one alleged victim, said to be in their 40s, claims they were assaulted twice by Spacey in March 2005. The charge pertaining to nonconsensual penetrative sex is alleged to relate to an incident that occurred in 2013.

The charges come three years after the 62-year-old actor was questioned by British police about claims that he had sexually assaulted several men.
In 2019, Variety reported Spacey was questioned under caution by the Metropolitan police in the US about the alleged incidents.
Spacey was based in the United Kingdom for several years while working at London's Old Vic Theatre where he served as Artistic Director between 2003 and 2015.
According to an internal investigation made by the theatre, over 20 men have come forward with claims against Spacey. The earliest claim investigated is said to have taken place in 1996.
While the BCPS have authorised the charges, The Washington Postclaims that the actor will only be formally charged “upon arrest in England and Wales”.
Spacey has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct and assault.
