Khloe Kardashian’s fans aren’t happy with her tone-deaf response to a fan who revealed that she’s working overtime to afford a single pair of the star’s Good American denim jeans.
The 34-year-old’s range of body positive denim and activewear range cost anywhere from $99-189. The backlash came after the Revenge Body star responded to a tweet from a fan revealing just how hard she worked to purchase a single pair of jeans from Khloe’s range. “So I realized I have to work 20 hours in order to afford @khloekardashian jeans…and I’m in love with them…catch me picking up extra shifts,” the fan wrote on Twitter.
It’s not unusual for people to go the extra mile to get their hands on the latest designer threads however it’s Khloe’s insensitive response that has upset some of her followers. Kardashian wrote: “Awwwwww this is so cute!!!! I’m so happy you enjoy them.”
But many fans on Twitter thought Khloe missed the entire point of the tweet and expressed the denim was too expensive for working people to purchase, while others pointed out the seemingly-patronising tone of Khloe’s reply.
