This week the cast of Sex and the City have made Big leaving Carrie on her wedding day seem like no big deal, instead, choosing to break our hearts into tiny pieces with their real-life drama.
First, The Daily Mail reported that Kim's "outrageous demands" were the reason the third Sex and the City film would no longer be going ahead, despite already having a script.
"It’s over ... we’re not doing it. I’m disappointed," Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the next day. "We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story," the actress told Extra.
"It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."
Kim then hit back at her on-screen best friend, telling Piers Morgan: “The inference is, is that I am a diva, that I’ve held up production in some way that, ‘Oh now we don’t get to make our movie because of you.’”
“And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I really think she could have been nicer,” she added.
Now, Kim has a solution which would allow the movie to go ahead: killing off Samantha's character.
Overnight Perez Hilton wrote on Twitter, "RT if you think #SexAndTheCity should make a third movie and just kill @KimCattrall's character!"
And, you guessed it, Kim retweeted.
The actress also replied to a fan who was begging her to rethink he decision via the EveryOutfitOnSATC Instagram account.
"Kim find a way for a third sex and the city please. you are all looking so great," the SATC lover commented.
"I can’t. My heart isn’t in it anymore. I’ve moved on. 61 isn’t 53 or 41. I have learned so much from our Sam. She was my hero but I want to rest & not work as much as I have been doing for years. I want a less hectic live. My decision reflects where I am in my life & I can’t change that without being unhappy. I hope you’ll understand. Kim."
Oh well, guess it's back to watching show reruns for us.
