The Internet Is Convinced Kim Cattrall Channelled Samantha Jones In Her Latest Campaign

Oh, honey.

Ever since Sex And The City came back into our lives via the reboot, there’s been a Samantha Jones shaped hole missing in our lives.

But now, the internet is convinced that Cattrall channelled the sex-positive, public relations agent in the Spring 2022 campaign for fashion retailer, Farfetch.

In the new campaign, called #YourChoiceYourFarfetch, it’s focused on not just our personal style but also the array of outfit possibilities within our own wardrobes. Not only that, but the campaign explores how style can frequently be interpreted on a global scale with copious pop culture references.

Sharing a series of new images, Farfetch spotlights different A-list stars as they proudly show off their favourite references and highlights the choice that customers must make on a daily basis when scrolling through the site.

In Cattrall’s photos, the Sex and the City star shows off her iconic aesthetic, with some of her character’s signature personality sprinkled throughout. In her selection, she sports a golden trench coat, peplum statement blouse and a smirk reminiscent of Jones herself.

Joining Cattrall were musicians Steve Lacy and María Isabel, plus actor Josh Hartnett, who were all donning on-trend items like the Y2K-inspired micro-mini skirt by Miu Miu to millennial pink vests.

Farfeth’s campaign is the first brand work developed by its new Creative Director Yannis Henrion, who has previously spoken about working with Cattrall.

In a recent interview with WWD, Henrion shared his admiration for Cattrall’s career, her icon status and how “real” she is as a person.

“Kim is truly an icon, not only because of her style choices but because of who she is as a person,” Henrion said, adding, “She is real. A true pop icon, no explanation needed.”
