Admitting she was only invited because she was Kanye West’s plus one, Kim says she cried when she got home because she felt so insecure about being there.
“I was Kanye’s plus one & so nervous! I didn’t know anyone & I’m sure no one wanted me there lol. I went home & cried after of insecurity but this is one of my fave looks now,” she wrote.
Wearing a now famous Givenchy dress, Kim was slammed by critics who suggested she looked like a floral couch and tapped her as the worst dressed of the night.
Kim also shared how she didn’t feel confident in her custom Balmain dress in 2016 (her fourth Met Gala) because she hadn’t dropped baby weight from giving birth to Saint in December.
“I was back to insecure this year because I hadn't lost all of my baby weight,” she wrote. “Big mistake to bleach the brows” she also admitted.
But even as recently as 2017, Kim says she was nervous. Sharing how she “almost threw up” attending without Kanye on her arm, the reality TV star and beauty mogul said she leaned on her sisters.
“I was so nervous to go by myself I almost threw up on the way and had to pee every second. I was Facetiming my sisters to meet up at the top of the stairs,” she wrote.
There we have it, even Kim Kardashian gets nervous.
