Just weeks after announcing her new KKW Beauty Body Collection, featuring foundation for your body, Kim Kardashian has announced the launch of her newest venture, Kimono by Kim Kardashian West.
After not only failing to find shapewear that blended with her skin tone and provided adequate support, Kim started to develop the new line – a collection she claims has been 15 years in the making.
“Kimono is the culmination of Kim’s personal experience with shapewear and is fueled by her passion to create truly considered and highly technical solutions for everybody,” the brand explained on the website. Each piece is designed to “enhance, smooth, lift or sculpt.”

The collection launches with nine flesh-tone shades that run from light beige for fair complexions to deep chocolate and black for deeper complexions. Sizes range from XXS to 4XL. The line features regular short unitards, bras and spandex shorts.
One of the most interesting pieces from the new line? A pair of shapewear designed for wearing with a slit.
“I’ve been passionate about this for 15 years. Kimono is my take on shapewear and solutions for women that actually work,” she explained in an Instagram post announcing the news. “I would always cut up my shapewear to make my own styles, and there have also been so many times I couldn’t find a shapewear colour that blended with my skin tone so we needed a solution for all of this.”

Kim hasn’t announced an official launch date or price range for the pieces but you can head to kimono.com to join the waitlist for updates.
