Never one to shy away from controversy, Kardashian’s Met Gala appearances have been subject to much speculation. Prior to starting her relationship with rapper husband Kanye West in 2013, Kim was reportedly “banned” from the Met Gala, but has since scored an invite for a number of years in a row.
Now, Kardashian has consistently served up looks that have divided critics. Who could forget her Met debut when the then-pregnant star arrived in a head-to-toe figure-hugging custom Givenchy gown that featured an all-over floral print complete with matching gloves?
This year, the reality TV star and model has interpreted the Camp: Notes on Fashion theme. There is no doubt West, who famously styles his wife, had a hand to play in the formulation of this look. Kim is joined by her equally famous sisters who have been known to opt for safer interpretations of the themes in the past. However, if Kim’s look is anything to go by, we can expect to see more daring looks from the family this year.
