Kim Kardashian Has Helped Free Another Prison Inmate

"He served too much time but it gives me so much joy to fund this life saving work"

Ever since becoming involved in the case of Alice Marie Johnson – a 63-year-old great-grandmother who was serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offence – Kim Kardashian has been attempting to help other people imprisoned on long sentences for nonviolence offences.

The Hill calls Kim “a vocal proponent of criminal justice reform,” and her latest post proves that she’s committed to helping change the system.

She tweeted, “We did it again! Had the best call w/this lovely family & my attorney @msbkb who just won release for their loved one Jeffrey in Miami — he served 22 years of life sentence for low-level drug case. He served too much time but it gives me so much joy to fund this life saving work.”

“Jeffrey in Miami” is far from the only person whose case Kim and her lawyers have been providing help with. Kim featured on Jason Flom’s “Wrongful Conviction” podcast in September 2018, via Page Six, to discuss her work attempting to free Chris Young, a young man arrested for marijuana and cocaine possession in 2010, and sentenced to life in prison, without parole.
