Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott welcomed their baby girl into the world on February 1st 2018, sharing the happy news with fans in a lengthy open letter, their first post addressing the pregnancy.
While Kylie is yet to reveal her daughter’s name, fans have taken it upon themselves to play detective by looking at what the famous Kar-Jenner clan were posting around Feb 1st. Just two days after the birth, Kris Jenner shared a photo of Kylie Cosmetics Valentine’s Day Lip Kit range, featuring the shade Posie K.
“So cute! One of my favourite @kyliecosmetics shades!! Posie K is launching as a limited edition trio set to celebrate the second anniversary! Feb 5 on KylieCosmetics.com,” she wrote.
Many have come to the conclusion that Kylie has named her daughter Mariposa, or Posie for short. The reason? Mariposa is Spanish for ‘butterfly’ and Kylie is incredibly fond of butterflies. She wore a pink diamond butterfly ring in November, one of the few photos she posted on Instagram during her pregnancy, and she has matching ankle butterfly tattoos with Travis.
She also has a large collection of butterfly-themed jewellery, some of which was on display in her birth announcement video.
We’re not sold on how true the theory is, after all, Kylie had named the lipstick shade long before her pregnancy!
