“We are very honoured to support ETH with this donation. Their pioneering work in the field of climate studies, glaciology and environmental conservation is in line with La Prairie’s overarching value of Swissness – a value centred on excellence and innovation – and its heritage of applying scientific advancements to the preservation of natural beauty,” said Patrick Rasquinet, Chief Executive Officer of La Prairie.
So what keeps La Prairie at the highest echelons of the anti-ageing industry? Part of it has to do with the La Prairie origin story. In 1931, a glandular transplant specialist named Dr. Paul Niehans started researching cell therapy. He believed that the root of all successful skincare could only be found at the cellular level.
From a stunning chalet hidden away in the Swiss mountains, Dr. Niehans developed what is now known as the exclusive cellular complex, found in all of La Prairie’s products. The complex is produced in three separate laboratories so that the complete recipe remains a secret; no single La Prairie chemist knows the full formula.
La Praire will also release their latest product innovation later this month, unveiling the first eye-opening serum for the whole eye area - including brows. Cue, La Prairie Skin Caviar Eye Lift. This cutting-edge formula is housed to two separate chambers; one encapsulated in caviar beads, the other in an innovative tourmaline-pink gel-cream emulsion.
