When it comes to preparing for the biggest night in fashion, most celebrities are currently knee deep in facials, kettle bells and green smoothies. But not Lady Gaga.
A woman after our own hearts, Gaga has been too busy to worry too much about her appearance at the 2019 Met Gala, admitting she hasn’t shaved her legs for four days in the lead up to the red carpet.
“Met Gala here we come. Destination ‘Camp,’ so excited to co-chair Anna’s event. #MetGala #MarcJacobs #(and I didn’t shave my legs for 4 days which really completes the look) #ZoomIn #ladygaga #fashion thank you @sarahtannomakeup for the jacob’s shwag,” Gaga wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her on a private plane, presumably en route to New York City.
While we can’t be sure if Gaga’s been too busy prepping the rest of her body (and mind — it’s known to be a spiritual experience attending the Met Gala) to shave her legs or if she’s forgotten about it altogether, we have no doubt she’ll be on fire come Monday — shaved legs or not.
Gaga is one of the co-chairs for 2019’s event, joining Serena Williams, Harry Styles and Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele to host the night. This year’s theme is a celebration of all things gaudy and camp and is titled Camp: Notes On Fashion, a message that certainly reflects Gaga’s iconic style.
The singer and A Star Is Born actress has already given us a taste of the ‘campy’ style she’s set to exhibit at the Gala, posting an outfit photo from one of the pre-Met Gala parties to her Instagram. Wearing a black and white puff dress complete with an extravagant headpiece, it’s safe to say we just can’t wait for her actual outfit. Counting down!
