Even though we swear it could have been last year that Prince Frederik and Princess Mary of Denmark gave birth to their first child, Prince Christian, it was actually a whole 13 years ago. Now — and it seems like all of a sudden — the four Danish royal children are completely grown up.
Stepping out to celebrate Queen Margrethe’s birthday, the entire royal family made an appearance, waving and smiling at the crowds in celebration of their matriarch’s big day. But while Princess Mary usually gets centre of attention (in our eyes, at least!) this time we couldn’t stop looking at the children.
Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine were all out in their best outfits for the occasion, looking oh-so grown up. Prince Christian, who will turn 14 in October, looked dapper and perfectly teenage in a blue blazer and checkered shirt. Princess Isabella, 11, waved to the crowd looking very grown up indeed.

Look at them!

The last time we saw the entire Danish royal family together for official business was in August of 2018, when they visited the Faroe Islands together.
Blink and you’d miss it, but these kids will be ruling Denmark in no time!
