When Halle Berry graced the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball red carpet on Saturday night, it wasn’t her glittering silver dress that set tongues wagging, but – bizarrely – the placement of her hands.
In just a few of the multitude of photos taken from the night, Berry has her hands resting on her tummy. The move was enough to generate instant, rampant speculation that the 50-year-old mother of two was pregnant.
The actress’s agent confirmed to Page Six today that the rumours are “completely untrue”, but it’s Berry’s response that takes the cake. On Instagram, Berry posted a stunning photo of herself, with the caption, “Can a girl have some steak and fries?” together with the eye roll emoji.
We’re with Berry on this one – can’t a woman embrace her natural curves and wear a figure-hugging dress without the internet crying pregnant?
