The 29-year-old British dancer was found dead in Dreams Gentlemenโ€™s Club in Melbourne late last year, and police have been investigating her death ever since.

News.com.au reports a 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday and interviewed over fears that he had lied to police during their initial interview with him. He was released after being interviewed and perjury charges are pending.

Police confirmed to the Herald Sun that they are currently investigating whether drugs were used that night and may have caused her death.

Dreams Gentlemenโ€™s Club released a statement earlier this year about the tragic incident after backlash for not acknowledging her death.

โ€œThe Owners, staff and management of Dreams Gentlemenโ€™s Club extend their sincere sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Stacey Tierney, who recently passed away,โ€ the club said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

โ€œWe will continue to co-operate with and assist Victoria Police with their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Staceyโ€™s death, however, until such time as all the facts are known and the Police investigation has concluded, we are unable to make any further comment or statements in relation to this matter.โ€

Ms Tierney had reportedly been with a group of men in a private area on the Sunday evening, News.com.au reports that the men left the club after she died.

โ€œThe exact circumstances surrounding the English womanโ€™s death are yet to be determined and a post-mortem will be conducted,โ€ a police spokeswoman told 9News.
