The British dancer was found dead in a Melbourne strip club.

Police have had a major breakthrough in the case of Stacey Tierney, and a man has been arrested in relation to her death.

The 29-year-old British dancer was found dead in Dreams Gentlemen’s Club in Melbourne late last year, and police have been investigating her death ever since. reports a 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday and interviewed over fears that he had lied to police during their initial interview with him. He was released after being interviewed and perjury charges are pending.

Police confirmed to the Herald Sun that they are currently investigating whether drugs were used that night and may have caused her death.

Dreams Gentlemen’s Club released a statement earlier this year about the tragic incident after backlash for not acknowledging her death.

“The Owners, staff and management of Dreams Gentlemen’s Club extend their sincere sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Stacey Tierney, who recently passed away,” the club said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

“We will continue to co-operate with and assist Victoria Police with their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Stacey’s death, however, until such time as all the facts are known and the Police investigation has concluded, we are unable to make any further comment or statements in relation to this matter.”

Ms Tierney had reportedly been with a group of men in a private area on the Sunday evening, reports that the men left the club after she died.
