Nina Dobrev walked the red carpet at Monday’s American Music Awards, and like most stars she was asked the usual questions about who she was wearing etc. Hey we’re a fashion magazine, we love to know all about the fashion, but there’s so much more important things to talk about too.
So when E! News host Jason Kennedy interviewed the former Vampire Diaries star, what did he choose to ask her?
“What are you eating these days?”
What?
The actress recently starred in a photo shoot for men’s Health magazine, so he then followed it up with, “Are you working out twice a day? We want to know how you pull that look off. How do you get that body?”
Power to her, she did look fierce on the cover and worked hard to get in shape, but why are we asking a woman this on live television.
As we head into awards season, the #AskHerMore campaign hopes to shine a light on sexist reporting towards women and replace the focus on women’s achievements rather than aesthetics.
Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Julianne Moore and Shonda Rhimes have all spoke out about the ridiculous double standards faced by female stars.
“This is a movement to say we’re more than just our dresses,” Witherspoon said ahead of the 2015 Oscars. “There are 44 nominees this year that are women and we are so happy to be here and talk about the work that we’ve done. It’s hard being a woman in Hollywood, or any industry.”
