Paris Jackson Slams Controversial Portrayal Of her Father In New TV Series

'I'm so incredibly offended by it'

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson has slammed the portrayal of her father in a new TV series Urban Myths.

The 18-year-old posted a series of Tweets labeling it as a “shameful portrayal” and that it made her “want to vomit”.

Jackson also slammed the casting of a white actor in the role as “insulting”, with Joseph Fiennes taking on the role in prosthetic makeup.

Michael’s nephew, Tai Jackson, has also slammed the “blatant disrespect” of the TV show on Twitter.

“Unfortunately this is what my family has to deal with. No words could express the blatant disrespect.”

Fiennes addressed the backlash last year after it was announced he would take on the controversial role.

“The decision with the casting and the producers – I wrangled with it, I was confused and shocked at what might come my way,” he tole The Hollywood Reporter.

“…And I knew the sensitivity, especially to Michael’s fans and to Michael’s family. It doesn’t negate who he was.”
