According to E! a source close to Hemsworth told the outlet that "Liam is happy to have moved on and is living a completely different life now. The way things ended between them didn't sit well with him and he was saddened by it all. It took him time to come to terms with the end of their relationship and to process it all. He knows that he is in a better place and that they needed to move on from one another," they said.
The actor, who is currently residing in Byron Bay, close to brother Chris Hemsworth, has been dating a fellow Australian, 24-year-old model Gabriella Brooks, who has apparently helped him realise a life without Miley.
"Gabriella is quiet, low key. She loves to be alone with Liam and isn't seeking attention from others. Gabriella is young but adores him. She gets along with his parents and his closest friends. The moment they started dating, they had incredible chemistry," the source revealed.
Another source told Us Weekly that the relationship between Cyrus and Hemsworth has devolved into virtually non-existent.
"Liam kind of has a low opinion of Miley at this point...He was really hurt by their split," they admitted.
He also hasn't been very pleased with Cyrus publicly discussing their relationship.
"Liam has been trying to be as private as possible and respectful about their breakup, and it's a shame to him and his family that certain aspects about [their] relationship have been made public," said the source.
Meanwhile, Cyrus was spotted getting cosy with Kaitlynn Carter just moments after the couples' separation announcement was made public.
According to E!, "Even though Miley and Liam were separated for a while before she was photographed making out on the yacht with Kaitlynn, once Liam saw those photos, he decided it was time to file for divorce," a source told the outlet. "That was it for him, seeing those photos and then all the Soho House stories thereafter."
The pair since parted ways and Cyrus would go on to date another Australian, Cody Simpson—the pair only recently announced their split after ten months together.
