Sydney Sweeney
Fresh off wrapping her three-season stint as Cassie Jacobs on HBO’s Euphoria, Sweeney will reprise her role as Millie in The Housemaid’s Secret. The sequel follows Millie as she takes on another housekeeping job for an affluent family with more than a few skeletons in the closet.
This time, her new employer, Douglas Garrick (Paul Anthony Kelly), refuses to let her see his wife, Mrs. Garrick (Kirsten Dunst), prompting Millie to suspect that something sinister is unfolding behind closed doors.
Amanda Seyfried
While Amanda Seyfried isn’t expected to play a major role in The Housemaid’s Secret, she may not be gone entirely.
As the sequel shifts its focus to a new family, her character takes a backseat to Millie Calloway’s latest assignment. Still, Seyfried has made it clear she’s eager to return in some capacity, even teasing that she can “guarantee” audiences will see her pop up for a cameo.
Michele Morrone
Michele Morrone is also set to return, reprising his role as Enzo Accardi, the enigmatic groundskeeper who became a fan favourite in the first film.
Kirsten Dunst
Kirsten Dunst is also officially checking into The Housemaid’s Secret.
The Oscar-nominated actress will play Mrs. Garrick, the enigmatic woman at the centre of Millie’s latest assignment and the keeper of the film’s most unsettling secrets. It’s a fitting role for Dunst, who continues to build one of Hollywood’s most eclectic filmographies. Following acclaimed turns in Civil War and Roofman opposite Channing Tatum, she’s also set to appear in A Minecraft Movie 2 and Ruben Östlund’s highly anticipated satire, The Entertainment System Is Down.

The casting announcement was revealed with a playful Instagram post from The Housemaid account, showing Kelly reading Freida McFadden’s The Housemaid’s Secret, the bestselling novel on which the film is based. Kelly will portray Douglas Garrick, a wealthy and reclusive tech CEO whose increasingly suspicious behaviour places him at the centre of the story’s latest mystery.
Kelly will next appear in the upcoming season of American Horror Story before making his big-screen debut when The Housemaid’s Secret arrives in cinemas on December 17, 2027.
