‘Fifty Shades’ Author E.L James Just Announced Her New Romance Novel

A 21st century (steamy) Cinderella story

E.L. James, the author who brought you Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, has just announced her new book and it’s called The Mister.

“It’s about an aristocratic Englishman who meets a young woman,” James told Today. Adding that the book, out April 2019, follows the blossoming romance between the wealthy Maxim Trevelyan and Alessia Demachi.

Fans of Fifty Shades’ saucy BDSM chapters will be pleased to learn that The Mister is heavy on the explicit detail.

“I don’t know how to ask this, but is there …” Today correspondent Keir Simmons asked the author. “Yes, lots,” the author responded with a laugh. “It’s a passionate, erotic love story. ‘Erotic’ is the word you were looking for. It’s not Fifty Shades erotic, it’s erotic because it’s not Fifty Shades. It’s a completely different story.”

On James’ website, she writes: “With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails…

“But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.”

Sounds intriguing, at the very least.
