Kia Sorento GT line, a spacious seven-seater for the family

A practical and comfortable car and great to drive.

Back to school means pick-ups, drop-offs, playdates and the rest of the joyous driving which comes with being a parent. I got around town for the week in a Kia Sorento. Itโ€™s a 7 seater and fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), those extra seats means you can take the childrenโ€™s friends to various after-school activities (the joy never stops, does it?). My two daughters were over-excited that our car would be the official transport for the week. And it was super useful, even when we werenโ€™t ferrying other children around, just for the sheer space.

It handles really well, the steering is responsive, it took corners like a champ and as a result, I felt really confident while driving.

Itโ€™s a big car and you do feel the size while driving and parking, but it has a 360 degree camera to help you squeeze into parks โ€“ you can literally see behind, in front and a view from on top of the car which is super helpful. The only issue I found was that the airbags donโ€™t cover the back row, so if you are driving other peopleโ€™s children around, youโ€™ll have to drive carefully.

The Sorento comes with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, so you can just plug in your phone and be instantly connected to your phoneโ€™s main apps like maps and Spotify. Itโ€™s not the prettiest car, but itโ€™s practical.
