Following a six-month social media hiatus, former Married at First Sight star, Sam Ball, has coincidentally returned to Instagram just in time to take a not-so-subtle swipe at his ex-wife, Elizabeth Sobinoff, ahead of her much anticipated MAFS return.

The 27-year-old, who ‘cheated’ on and body-shamed Lizzie during last year’s drama-filled season, sarcastically addressed her return to the controversial reality show via his Instagram stories on Saturday.
Sam ‘commended’ his ex-wife for trying her hand at love again on a reality TV show she is well aware, is “fake”. Subtlety is clearly not his strong suit.

“Good on her if that’s what she wants to do to find love. Everyone that’s been in the experiment [before] knows how set up [it is], and what goes on behind the scenes. I wouldn’t do it again,” he said when asked what he thought of Lizzie’s return during an Instagram live.
“Would I meet up with Lizzie and hang out? No, I wouldn’t. I don’t think we share the same interests. There are things that happened that were in her control after the show that she didn’t have to do or comment on, which she did.”
In case you thought Sam’s comments about Lizzie’s life choices couldn’t get any worse, the ex-groom, who infamously body-shammed his TV wife on the day of their wedding, also decided to ‘open up’ about his ex-wife’s weight loss.
“Health and fitness is huge, good on Lizzie for going down that path and living a healthy lifestyle. It’d benefit anyone! It’ll affect your work life, sex life and mental state. Being healthy is huge on your body,” he said.
Lizzie’s return to the hit reality TV show has been a shining beacon of hope for many MAFS fans and finally, after weeks of break-ups, make-ups and scandals, we’ll finally get the episode we’ve all been waiting for tonight.
