The Best Twitter Reactions To The ‘MAFS’ Grand Reunion Dinner Party

"Witnessing this reunion honestly feels like a reward for all those months in Stage 4 lockdown!"

And we’re back! The time has finally come for the hotly anticipated Married At First Sight Grand Reunion, and boy, oh boy, did our favourite Aussie reality stars bring the drama this time around.

The first part of Channel Nine’s two-part special aired tonight, bringing back the former couples from seasons past for yet another dinner party filled withyou guessed itdrama!

Among the returning cast include Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, Dean Wells and Tracey Jewel, Ashley Irvin and Troy Delmege, Jessika Power, Ines Basic, Mike Gunner, Elizabeth Sobinoff and ‘Cyclone’ Cyrell Paule.

In the words of one Twitter user ahead of the episode: “It’s about to go down.”

Below, we’re recapping all the drama that unfolded—and, as always, the best, most hilarious and spot-on reactions from those playing along at home.

Attack Of The Nasser!

Unsurprisingly, the cast wasn’t happy to hear that season five contestant Nasser Sultan was going to be in attendance at the dinner party.

When asked by producers ahead of arriving at the event, each former bride and groom expressed that the outspoken “social commentator” was the last person they hoped would turn up.

“He has burned a lot of bridges,” said MAFS expert Mel Schilling upon his arrival “It goes to show that social media plays a huge role in their lives,” adds fellow expert, John Aiken.

“I say what I feel,” Nasser later tells producers. “Do I make funny comments about them all the time, yes, that’s what people want. Humour.”

He later tells Troy and Ashely he’s the “voice of the people.”

When confronted by the group at the table, Nasser refuses to apologise for the lies he’s spread throughout the media in the years following his appearance on the show (including of those at the table he had never met before.

And huge YES to Michael, who rightfully called out the former reality star on how his hurtful—and often untrue—words can cause a detriment to someone’s mental health.

Cyrell Vs. Jess

Now to the moment everyone’s been waiting for… the confrontation between Cyrell and Jess.

The two TV brides, who repeatedly hit back at one another while appearing on MAFS‘ sixth season, came to blows once again, this time over their consistent bashing of one another over social media following their respective time on the show.

Cyrell’s anger stems from Jess’ alleged words in the media that suggested she and her partner, Love Island’s Eden Dally, were continuing their relationship for publicity’s sake.

“I don’t want my son to grow up thinking I didn’t want him in my life,” a tearful Cyrell tells the camera.

Getting up from her place at the end of the table, Cyrell calls Jess’ name several times before tapping her on the shoulder and saying, “I’d just like to confront you about things you’ve said.”

“I am not going to engage in a conversation with you because your hostile and angry,” a surprisingly calm Jess tells her.

Basically, the two continue to bicker across the table before Jess yells “that’s mature,” which leads to Cyrell demonstrating, arguably, the most immature behaviour of the entire night—throwing her white wine in Jess’ face.

*Rolls eyes*

CYRELL! You just demanded an apology from Nasser for the things he said in the media about you, but when Jess is asking to engage in a calm conversation about the things she’s said, you’re unwilling?

Here’s what Twitter had to say:
