Speaking to Parents magazine in November last year, Moore revealed that she felt a sense of shame when parenthood came easy to her husband, while she felt 'clumsy and awkward.'
“Everything he did seemed easy. He could get Gus to go to sleep like that, to laugh like that, whereas I felt clumsy and awkward. I felt a lot of shame and a lot of guilt,” she told the outlet.
But, parenthood moves at a hundred miles an hour, and it wasn't long before Moore was the new favourite.
“Suddenly, we glided into a new phase and Gus preferred me to my husband,” the actress revealed revealed. “And it’s going to change again. It’s a rollercoaster.”
After starring in the hit series This Is Us for six seasons, Moore has finally bid farewell to the show and is now thinking about what her next chapter looks like (both inside and outside of motherhood).
“I’m excited to be a mom for a minute, then figure out what I wanna do after that,” she told Entertainment Tonight last week. She reflected that she had been pregnant with Gus “all throughout the fifth season and then I went back to work when he was a month old.”
There's no surprise then, that she's looking forward to focus on her expanding family for the foreseeable future before deciding on the next chapter. Congratulations, Mandy!
