A decade on from their breakout roles in Superbad, Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are joining forces for a stunning new Netflix series. And if the tailer is anything to go by, this could be the streaming giant's most mind-bending offering yet.
Directed by True Detective's Cary Fukunaga, Maniac is a dark comedy about a pharmaceutical trial gone wrong.
“Starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, Maniac is the story of two strangers who find themselves caught up in a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial gone awry,” the Netflix description reads.
Maniac's stacked cast also includes Sally Field and Justin Theroux (who’s documentary-making cousin Louis thinks resembles him 20 years ago).
The 10-part instalment is a remake of a trippy 2014 Norwegian series, which is actually available on Netflix right now.
The series is scheduled for release on September 21, so in the meantime enjoy these teaser images.
