Margot Robbie snick into Byron Bay over the weekend to celebrate a friend's Hens party, and it seems even Oscar-nominated actresses aren't safe from dress-up. The 28-year-old took a break from filming anticipated Harley Quin spin-off Birds Of Prey in Los Angeles to attend a close Aussie friend's Hens.
Robbie made a low-key trip back to Australia and joined her close-knit group of Gold Coast friends, including bride-to-be Anna MacKillop, on Saturday. Photos uploaded to social media showed Robbie in a purple pantsuit and black crop top before the group changed into matching red one-piece swimmers and white sailor hats to continue the celebrations.
Robbie wed British film producer Tom Ackerly at Byron Bay property Coorabell in December 2016.
Recently, Robbie opened up about the continual pressures of being asked when she plans to have children. “It made me really angry,” she told the Radio Times, speaking of the pressure on her character, Queen Elizabeth l, to reproduce.“How dare some old guy dictate what I can and can’t do when it comes to motherhood or my own body?"
“I got married and the first question in almost every interview is, ‘Babies? When are you having one?’ Robbie continued.
“I’m so angry that there’s this social contract. You’re married, now have a baby. Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.”
