Last December, Margot Robbie married her British film director partner Tom Ackerley in a private Byron Bay ceremony – or so we thought.
Though the nuptials were widely reported – and thought to have been confirmed by Margot with the below Instagram photo, the Aussie bombshell is now saying she’s been married for three whole years.
Confused? Us too.
Over the weekend, Margot was attending the Hamptons International Film Festival when she was congratulated by a guest on her approaching one-year wedding anniversary.
“It’s been three years,” the 27-year-old responded, reports Page Six.
If the source quoted the actress correctly, Margot and Tom completely stitched us up and wed long before we even knew they were engaged.
The couple, who began dating in 2013 after meeting on the set of World War II film Suite Française, hasn’t yet commented on the matter, however, last week Margot did open up about living with her husband.
“My husband and I were roommates before we were even dating, so I’m kind of living with my roommate and it’s awesome,” she told Us Weekly.
“We lived with a bunch of people and now we’re just living [as] the two of us, so we feel very grown up now.”
