House Goals: marie claire Lifestyle’s Latest Issue Is Out Now With P.E. Nation’s Claire Tregoning On The Cover

The living room of your dreams is positioned where fashion meets comfort

Floating down the stairs in her incredible Northern Beaches of Sydney home, Claire Tregoning is giving us flashes of ‘fashion meets comfort’ charisma for our latest marie claire Lifestyle cover shoot. The marie claire crew is taking turns around the camera monitor – in between actual sighs directed at the location.

At the time, NSW lockdown restrictions have just eased and Claire has cocooned for months. Although, she is more than happy in the bubble she shares with her cinematographer husband, Tim, and, their children Tuck, and Cleo. With our bare feet planted on heated concrete floors in her double-height brick and timber living room, we can hardly blame her.

On stands now, the third issue of marie claire Lifestyle celebrates personal style as we ease into a new normal. This magazine is dedicated to finding your own authentic mix. Your bespoke interior blend can start with your wardrobe and branch out (our Pret-a-Décor story, wraps up of the year’s most translatable trends). Other times, the kernel of inspiration is found in far-flung places (our Global Homes section will broaden your horizons).  With individuality at the forefront for the issue, Claire was the obvious cover star.

Together with business partner Pip Edwards, the P.E Nation co-founder and creative director is leading the charge in Australia for athleisure with a fashion edge; mixing ’90s street style with a cool-girl spirit and high-tech fabrics you can move in. Like anything P.E Nation, her house is designed for style and comfort. It is also highly representative of its owners; weaving together Claire’s industrial edge, with husband Tim’s country cowboy aesthetic, the casual cool of Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the intimacy of childhood.

On the food and travel front, we are reconnecting with friends over supper and escaping with elevated Vietnamese cuisine. Although we won’t be border-hopping any time soon, our Works of Wanderlust feature brings the spirit of adventure home.

Three months in the making, this issue has been shaped in an intense period of social upheaval. At marie claire, our ethos of style meets substance means we are grounded in those realities. So here is to homes that feel personal, warm and comfortable to move in. Come on in.
