If you’re like us and have been checking your letterbox every single day for a sign of your same-sex marriage ballot, don’t worry just yet.

A Senate enquiry has heard that more than four million forms have already been posted out and millions more will reach mailboxes this Friday.

As News.com.au reports, Deputy Australian Statistician Jonathon Palmer said all forms are expected to be sent out by September 21.

“We’re slightly ahead of our schedule for dispatch of remaining forms, so that all means we’re in very good shapes to all eligible Australians by September 25,” he said.

Initially, postal vote mail outs focused on rural and remote communities.

As the ABC reports, anyone who has not been sent their survey form by September 25 is advised to contact the ABS. A replacement ballot will then be mailed out again.
