Tuesday night was the final set of vows for Season 6 of Married At First Sight, with arguably the most tumultuous couple of the season deciding whether or not to stay together outside of the experiment.
Heidi told Mike, “Over our journey, I’ve gotten to know the man that you are. You have a love and enthusiasm for life unlike I’ve ever seen. You were interested in knowing and exploring the world and making it a better place every day. Our journey has been one that I never saw coming, and even though we started out on a yacht, it has never been smooth sailing.
“I know that we both love the brightness that we see in each other. That’s what attracts us. When our flame burns bright, it only helps the other one shine brighter too. At times I’ve realised even though we are similar in some ways, in many others we are completely different.”
“So I’m not finished with you, and there’s more to be explored and created together if you’re open to it. So what do you say? Will you come on this adventure with it?”
Mike’s vows promised similar to Heidi, but with one major difference. He ended with “I love you”.
“There is a magnetic pull towards you that is so great. I simply need to be with you. Now I know what this feeling in my heart is. It’s love. Heidi, I love you.”
