Uncovering the truth about toothbrush-gate
We’ve already seen the unthinkable act plastered all over social media, but what we are yet to find out is exactly what drove 2020 groom, David Cannon, to use his TV wife’s toothbrush to scrub a toilet bowl. Yes, you read that correctly.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the footage was first revealed to contestants at a reunion episode that was shot after the main season had wrapped.
The bride in question is 32-year-old finance broker, Hayley Vernon, who has reportedly labelled the act as “completely vile.”
The affairs haven’t stopped
Each year, we welcome MAFS back into our viewing schedule in hope that we will be able to go a year without any of the contestants cheating on each other. It’s a simple ask really – considering that the basis of the show involves individuals trusting experts to match them with the perfect partner.
Alas, however, monogamy does not seem to be the trend of MAFS 2020 either, with new reports revealing that bride Stacey Hampton is involved in one of this season’s numerous cheating scandals.
These new allegations claim that Stacey, who is rumoured to be partnered with single dad, Michael Goonan, hooks up with another one of the show's contestants on the day of their one-month anniversary.
"They had insane chemistry from the get-go, so no-one in production was surprised they hooked up," tells the source. "But s**t really hits the fan when the rest of the cast finds out!"
There’s a wild girl’s night out involved
For many MAFS contestants, the shows ‘love experiment’ doesn’t always work out exactly as they might imagine. So, it’s understandable that a night spent out on the town to forget about the show’s stresses would be desirable.
And that’s exactly what contestants Hayley Vernon and Poppy Jennings did. The pair indulged in a boozy night out in Sydney after they finished filming the show’s reunion.
Witnesses say that the brides-to-be “didn’t finish until 4am” and “would have easily polished off half a bottle of vodka and a few cocktails."
The contestants have gone rogue
The general rule of MAFS seasons gone by is that contestants are asked not to change their appearance post-production until airing of the show is well and truly complete. It seems as though many of this year’s contestants are not concerned about defying a few rules (a tell-tale sign of what to expect on the show) and have already debuted new looks.
Aleks Markovic – once a dark brunette – is sporting golden locks, and brides Cathy Evans and Natasha Spencer have added extensions. Even groom Chris Evans has added some blonde highlights to his hair!
Needless to say, we’ll definitely be tuning in from February 3 to see if this year’s MAFS cast are as scandalous as they seem!
