‘Married At First Sight’ Will Go Ahead In 2021, And There’s A Brand New Expert

Here's everything we know

If you thought 2020 was chaotic, 2021 might be even more so with Channel Nine confirming Married At First Sight will go ahead next year.

The social experiment follows a group of couples as they meet for the first time at their wedding, and then follows them as they explore their budding romances.

News of the mega-hit series’ return, now in its eighth season, was revealed during the Nine Upfronts event on September 16, and we’re already counting down the days to watch the drama unfold.

Below, everything you need to know about MAFS 2021.

Who Are The MAFS Experts For 2021?

John Aiken and Mel Schilling will be returning for season 8, however, it was revealed earlier this month that Dr Trisha Stratford, who has been on the show since its debut in 2015, will not be back next year. Alessandra Rampolla, a certified clinical sexologist with over 20 years’ experience, will take her place, offering advice and guidance to the couples.

After seven seasons of Married At First Sight I have decided to step back from the television series to focus on my writing, research and neuropsychotherapy,” Dr Stratford said in a statement.

But don’t take our word for it, check out the season’s first trailer to see for yourself.
