While Australia watched on as Davina Rankin’s explosive showdown with Married At First Sight co-star Tracey Jewel took place, the star has revealed the girls had a secret conversation before fighting over the ‘affair’ with Dean Wells.
Rankin appeared on A Current Affair in in the emotional interview she confirmed her motive for calling Tracey “crazy” was based on the fact that the stars had discussed the affair in private before their shock confrontation in front of the camera.
“Tracey actually called me after she left Dean at the aisle of the last ceremony, and we’re actually fine,” the 26-year-old said about the state of their friendship post-show.
Davina also revealed that despite the backlash from the show, she was most mindful of the impact it had on her parents.
“My mum and dad were ropeable. Absolutely ropeable,” Davina said. “I just felt really bad for them because’s it’s all on the internet.”
“And bless them, but they know nothing about the internet. They just want to get on there and say ‘F**k you Susan, don’t call my daughter a bitch!’.”
“I just have to be like, ‘Mum, Dad, you need to not comment, that’s not how this works. If you comment, people are going to start attacking you.”
The star even discussed Tracey’s new relationship with Sean, another MAFS groom.
“[It’s] f**king weird. Because they don’t seem like were such a good match. Sean is so different to Dean.'”
Let’s hope Tracey isn’t upset about that, especially as they’re now friendly.
