‘Married At First Sight’s’ Ines Is ‘A Recluse’ And Has ‘Lost 12kgs’ Amid Scandal

Reports claim

Married At First Sight’s most controversial bride Ines Basic has reportedly ‘cut herself off’ from friends and castmates and is ‘living like a recluse’ in her Brisbane home, several reports claim.

Ines first sparked outrage following her constant verbal taunts toward husband Bronson Norrish, including one incident during their honeymoon where she repeatedly yelled: “Shut the f**ck up”. But that would be nothing compared to Monday night’s episode, which saw Ines pursue another groom Sam, all while pretending her relationship with Bronson was working, to avoid being eliminated from the experiment.

Woman’s Day reports Ines is struggling to cope with the online hate that followed the scandal. A source told the publication Ines has “lost about 12kg since filming finished” four months ago, and that “everyone’s really worried about her”.

An Endemol Shine Australia spokesperson told news.com.au: “There is a dedicated show psychologist and support team available to every participant throughout the entire production, broadcast and beyond.”

Following Monday night’s episode, Ines responded telling 9Honey, “Everything with Sam and I was done at such a high-paced, emotionally-charged level. We connected on a very different level. Like we didn’t really need to speak. We could just feel each other’s emotions. He said it was a very spiritual connection, a very mental connection. As if we could read each other’s thoughts and finish each other’s sentences.”

“We did a really nice dinner on the Gold Coast. We had the top floor, and it was a beautiful setting,” she added. “During the time we were at that dinner, that really nice rooftop space, everything we were talking about was very like a substance, materialistic level. And I genuinely wanted to get to know him, like his soul.

“I was sort of expecting a more deeper conversation. I don’t know if it was because the cameras were around he didn’t want to be too vulnerable because off-camera he did open up a lot more when I spent the night with him.”

However, Sam also responded and had nothing nice to say about Ines. “If I had my time again, I probably would have never opened her message,” he told TV Week, describing her as “manipulative and smart”.

The drama continues tonight as Elizabeth makes her dramatic return.
